Everyone is online nowadays! Learn how the internet can be used effectively in the recovery process. In a focus group format, professionals explore the use of email, internet based programs, websites, and chat rooms in eating disorders treatment. Find out the advantages, disadvantages, ethical and clinical considerations of using innovative technology in your practice.

Nothing to Lose: Effective Treatment Strategies for Working with Binge Eating Disorder
Binge eating disorder (BED), also known as compulsive overeating, is the eating disorder that is most misunderstood and overlooked. This workshop will give clinicians and healthcare providers an overview of BED and the latest information on how to effectively diagnose and treat individuals with this clinical issue.

You're Not Crazy, You're Coping: Effective Treatment Strategies for Helping Individuals with Food and Body Concerns
This workshop teaches participants how to use a blend of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help clients recover from eating disorders. Through the use of metaphors, storytelling, and affirmations, Kathleen will help clinicians and healthcare providers more effectively identify and treat adolescents and adults with food and body image concerns.

Learn how to be a “super model” for body image and healthy eating. This workshop trains parents, teachers, coaches, and guidance counselors to become activists in the prevention of eating disorders. Learn how to identify the “red flags” of disordered eating, how to become media savvy, and what to do should you be concerned about a student or a loved one. Each of us can make a difference!

Body Blues: Helping Students Gain Weight Wisdom on Campus
This workshop trains resident life staff, coaches, and college counselors on how to effectively identify, support, and refer students with eating disorders. Learn how to set up an eating disorders policy on campus, how to work as a team and how to protect each student's confidentiality in the process.

Building Body Confidence
Building and maintaining a healthy body image in a society obsessed with carbohydrates, fat grams, and thinness is a challenge for many men and women. Participants discover the ways in which our industrialized society uses our insecurities to sell products and how each of us can fight back and learn to love ourselves inside and out. Participants walk away with concrete strategies for improving body confidence, increasing "weight wisdom" , and having fun in whatever size and shape you are currently in.
